Dumbbell Lateral Raise
Lift dumbbells out to the sides with a controlled shoulder movement.
What you need
A pair of light dumbbells and clear space at each side.
How to do it
Stand tall with a dumbbell in each hand and a small bend in your elbows.
Raise your arms out to your sides without swinging your torso.
Stop around shoulder height, with the fronts of the weights angled slightly upward.
Lower both weights slowly to your sides.
Keep in mind
- Keep your wrists aligned with your forearms.
- Choose light enough weights to avoid shrugging and swinging.
